De fuerte impacto sensorial es la más reciente producción cerámica de Jesús Lara Sotelo: estructuras poliformes tendentes a la geometrización en círculos y óvalos sinuosos donde prevalece el juego orgánico entre las formas. En ellas, los motivos icónicos se reducen a incrustaciones, texturas activas, a escrituras poemáticas sobre la arcilla y a dibujos en finas líneas que serpentean. Of great sensory impact is the most recent ceramic production of Jesús Lara Sotelo: polyform structures tending to the geometrization in circles and sinuous ovals where the organic game between the forms prevails. In them, the iconic motifs are reduced to incrustations, to active textures, to poetic writings on the clay and to drawings in thin lines that meander. Austerity is countered by symbolic value. The artist seems seduced by minimal integrity and instead of going from the process to the end, he prefers to sink into the factual course, participate in it, abandon himself to lasciviousness. The artistic values of these pieces, mature and precise in the composition, are in their integrational unity due to the relocation of the resources that Sotelo uses in his landscape paintings, in his portraits, in his abstractions, in his sculptures and photographs, from a deeper view in the clay.
