Exit

(…) No se dejen engañar por los verdes, los respiros o las luces borrosas: esto no es un paisaje.

Es mi cartografía emocional cuando aún estaba tratando de convencerme de que vivir valía el riesgo.

Pinté esta obra en los primeros años de mi sobriedad. O como me gusta llamarlo: cuando el alma aún temblaba como gelatina filosófica y yo confundía el insomnio con iluminación.

No la concebí para adornar una sala de espera. A menos que uno quiera que el visitante salga huyendo… pero más lúcido.

(…) Don’t be fooled by the greenery, the respite, or the blurry lights: this isn’t a landscape.

It’s my emotional cartography from when I was still trying to convince myself that living was worth the risk.

I painted this work in the early years of my sobriety.

Or as I like to call it: when my soul was still trembling like philosophical jelly and I mistook insomnia for enlightenment.

I didn’t conceive it to adorn a waiting room. Unless you want the visitor to flee… but more lucid.
