In 2010, I reconstructed a fragment of myself—not through painting, but through clothing. It wasn’t textile art: it was visceral art, unafraid to drag with it everything that was indecent or inappropriate to keep.
The altarpiece stands like a profane altar, woven not out of religious devotion but out of emotional necessity. What the mind cannot discard, art transforms into form. That’s why this piece isn’t made of materials: it’s made of intimate exiles.
In every fold, there is a broken truce, in every stitch, a decision not made. It is the story of bodies not experienced aloud.
