Supremacy of ecstasy was the starting point for a series of exhibitions that Lara has dedicated to prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso since 2011. As a tribute to the 90th anniversary of the dancer’s life, she presented a series of realistic portraits at the José Martí memorial in charcoal, large format, representing Alicia in scenes of her dance performances. Ballet has been one of the most recurring themes in her work and she has even approached it from perspectives as diverse as ceramics and literature. Pieces of this series appear between the years 2010 and 2013.
