From modeling to suggestion., it reflects what specialized critics reveal: “Lara is an erotic painter all the time, and not because here or there sprout, more or less camouflaged, penises and vulvas, eager, shining, interacting, conversing with protean anxiety, but because Lara is a connoisseur, a taster of beauty in every effort he undertakes.All his work, even from the beginning, appears tense between two desires: the need to leave faith in suffering, about pain, about human withdrawal, and the appetite for beauty, for joy, for exultant sexuality, for frolicking matter.

Del modelado a la insinuación, refleja aquello que revela la crítica especializada: “Lara es un pintor erótico todo el tiempo, y no ya porque aquí o allá broten, más o menos camuflados, penes y vulvas, deseosos, refulgentes, interactuantes, dialogantes con ansiedad proteica, sino porque Lara es un sibarita, un degustador de la belleza en cada empeño que acomete. Toda su obra, incluso desde los inicios, aparece tensada entre dos apetencias: la necesidad de dejar fe sobre el sufrimiento, sobre el dolor, sobre el repliegue humano; y el apetito de la belleza, del gozo, de la sexualidad exultante, de la materia que retoza.
